Holiday Goodies! | Family Photographer Harrisburg, Pa

First, let me be clear: Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year!

Now that we have gotten the most important detail out of the way, I would like to share a couple of goodies you can put under your tree from BVP!

Gift Certificates
I am doing a limited number of gift certificates for 2012 this year.  They are on a first come, first serve basis and they are good for the duration of 2012!

Each gift certificate is guaranteed good for 2011 pricing and can cover just about anything you can think of- session fee, prints, additional CDs, gallery wraps, albums- you name and we can take care of you.

P.S. These also make great bridal shower, baby shower, and wedding gifts!

I tend to save the best for last! :)

"Kick the Auto Setting" Class Admission
So, Santa brought you that awesome DSLR you have been drooling over all year long!  Hooray!  Now, what better way to kick start 2012 than to learn how to use that awesome camera, WITHOUT Auto!  :) That is what I am here for.

I will be asking for feedback in advance of the class to best structure my materials around attendees' needs/wants.  In other words, if you think of it, we can learn it! :)  Boy, that's my kind of class!!

The current date is set for January 14, 2012.

You can give admission to this session in the form of a gift certificate as well, so don't hesitate to contact me about reserving your spot or a spot for that special someone.

Please email me at info.bellavitaphotography@gmail.com to order a gift certificate or reserve your spot in the "Kick the Auto Setting" Class!  Space is limited, first come, first serve.

I will be posting a "Kick the Auto Setting" detailed blog for those of you that are looking for more specific details!

Be Blessed.

The Sweetest of Pictures | Baby Photography Carlisle, Pa

Many times people are uncomfortable in front of the camera, and well, it is my job to help ease their minds and bring out pictures that speak to my clients' personalities and tell the story of their lives.

I have found that by being an on-location, natural light photographer, I can quickly ease any butterflies my clients might have by meeting them at their home and we can get down to business documenting my awesome clients' lives!!

Being a photojournalistic photographer, my goal is to document my clients as they truly remember themselves (or even better, capture a moment they never knew existed!).

I have had a couple of clients that ask the question, "Should we look at the camera and smile?"

That is a difficult question for me to give a one word answer to, and here is why.

Posed, smiling at the camera pictures are great!  However, if I only focus on the posed and smiling, I would have missed this wonderful image!

This is why I love shooting in the photojournalistic style.  I can just FEEL the emotional bond between a mother and her child just oozing out of this image as baby Grace finds the tassels on her dress!

Harrisburg Cupcake Cup: The Big Cupcake Reveal! | Lifestyle Photographer Harrisburg, Pa

I am so excited to share this post with you. I was blessed to be a Photography Sponsor at this year's Harrisburg Cupcake Cup!  Oh yes, I was extremely pumped to be able to support our Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

The talent and pride I saw oozing from the bakers was just impressive.  I have always had a love of cupcakes (who doesn't?!), but oh my, these cupcakes took it to a whole new level!  They were so creative, innovative, and yes, of course, DELICIOUS!  This year's Cupcake Cup had almost 50 entries!!  Now, let me tell you, that is a lot of sugary goodness that this cupcake loving photographer was able to take in!  And yes, to answer the all important questions: 1. I WAS (barely) able to contain my urge to eat each cupcake I was photographing, and 2.  I definitely brought a bunch of these goodies home with me!!

I cannot wait until the next Harrisburg Cupcake Cup, so that I can spend some time with the newest confectionery delights to grace the stage!

Enjoy.

Broadway Classics Theater was kind enough to donate their venue for this year's Harrisburg Cupcake Cup!!
Look at all the different cupcakes.  How is a girl to choose just one?  Oh, that's right, you don't have to!  :)

The Winners::
Professional Runner Up, Professional Winner, Erika, Amateur Winner, Amateur Runner Up.

I recently met up with Madison and her super fun family to document Madison's 2nd birthday.  This session was so much fun!  Madison has quite the love for balloons, so thank goodness I took some balloons along for her to frolic in the grass with!! Madison was proud to be 2, Natalie, her sister was just as adorable as could be, and this entire family just exuded l.o.v.e!

Brynnleigh's the big O-N-E! | Baby Photographer Harrisburg, PA

This little girl has been one of the best babies I have had the pleasure of photographing!  She was literally a photographer's dream- sitting still, staring inquisitively at the camera (I am talking like 10 seconds worth!), and the sweetest smile around!  I am so happy to have met her parents and their adorable little family.

Enjoy!!

And this last one, it always brings the thought to my head, "If only I knew what little babies were thinking.  The world and everything it entails is a eureka moment."
