Kolton 1 Year Cake Smash Baby's First Year | Baby Photographer Harrisburg, Pa

I cannot believe I have been hanging out with this little guy every month for the past year!  I have really become attached to him and to the great conversation with Sarah- his mom- that was sure to happen every month!

This is his last session from his Baby's First Year package.  Sarah and Zach wanted to incorporate some family pictures with Kolton as well as the coveted Cake Smash at the end of the session!  :)

Here are a few images from their sweet family session, enjoy!

And a few from Kolton's 12 month pictures!
Check out this cool shirt Sarah ordered for him!  :)

And the grand finale...The Cake Smash!
Kolton didn't waste any time tearing into his cake.  I think this might have been the fastest smashing I have ever photographed!!

The aftermath!

Valentine Girls | Children's Photographer Harrisburg, Pa

Oh, these sweet little girls!  I just love spending time with them and seeing how much they have grown!  Brinley, the big sister, is so matter-of-fact and caring- guiding her little sister when necessary, while Nixon, the youngest, is "Mama's Little Firecracker" and I love it!

Both girls are so caring and I just got a big kick out of it.  My husband dropped me off at the session, while he was running errands.  This means that my daughter was in the car with him.  Nixon ran over and started talking to my daughter and throughout our session, she kept asking, "When do we get to see the baby again?"(my daughter is 2, tehehe)  Oh bless her, it was so adorable!!!  They just hit it off!

I think my favorite Nixon line of the night was when she looked at me, tilted her head to the side, which at this point I could tell the gears were turning and I was so eager to hear what was next, she points at my belly and says, "Mama, what's in her belly?"  :D  Gosh, she is just too cute!!!

Enjoy these images from the girl's session!

This is my favorite image from the girls' session.  Looooove these sisters!

Our first stop was the bridge, so the girls could throw some rocks in the creek.  Of course, this leads to a hilarious memory from our session.  Keep reading to find out!  :)

So we have been throwing for maybe 10 minutes, the girls running back and forth grabbing rocks as fast as they can, all the while I am taking pictures, laughing and having a great time with them.  Nixon, comes back with a rock and we tell her to slow down and throw the rock really well. She does exactly like we said (including the most adorable excitement face in the image below!!)- flings her arm WAAAAY back, slowly brings it forward and ROCKETS this stone towards the water.  Well, if you look closely at the picture below, you will see the problem.  Nixon's height is perfect for the rock to hit the top rail!!!  And, boy did she ever!  The rock came FLYING back at me, yes, to answer your question, I am still taking pictures, when I feel something hit my right shoulder!  All of this happened so fast I didn't see it through the lens, I was way to busy laughing and having a great time with them, but their Mama is hysterically laughing in the background and when I look up I finally realize what it is that happened and why she is laughing like crazy!  Good times with Nixon!  :D

We took a little walk through the boardwalks and stopped at a couple lovely little spots for sweet sisters to share a secret and smile for us!

After taking this little walk, the girls wanted to go hunting for frogs, so, of course, I was game!!  It was a lot of fun watching the girls hunt for frogs- they were so excited! Although we only saw Tadpoles, I count it as a success! :)
I just love this image of Brinley laughing, she is soooo full of joy and laughter!
