A Brave Little Boy | Children's Photographer CHOP Philadelphia, PA

This is a very special post, near and dear to my heart.  A couple weeks ago I was blessed to be able to travel to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to photograph Weston- the bravest 4 year old I know- in his hospital room.

I am very good friends with his mother and father (two of the strongest people I have ever known), and I just adore Weston and his five other siblings.  Yes, that is right, he has FIVE siblings, plus, they are the sweetest children.  This little guy's mommy has been my friend since my high school days- at this point I am thinking over half my life!

Weston has been at CHOP since June.  He has several heart issues, as well as low functioning lungs (my layman's terms).  He is currently listed as a 1A on the heart/lung transplant list, putting him amongst the top of the list.  Typically the wait time is approximately 2 years.  Hopefully he will sooner, rather than later, see a brand-spankin' new heart and lungs, so he can run around and be the coolest, healthy little 4 year old.

You can read more about Weston's story on his CaringBridge site, as well as follow along with the updates on his progress.

Julie, Weston's mom asked me to come down and take some "feature pictures" after an especially difficult week for him.  I was honored that she asked me to capture these innocent, boyish little features, as well as document two brothers- the best of friends.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I was moved taking them.

Cape Cod.

I usually don't post anything personal; I'd much rather share about my awesome clients, however, Matt and I took a great vacation to Cape Cod (our usual spot) in June and I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.

Cape Cod and the Islands are the great escape.  It is truly a photographer's dream.  Most of the time, I just walked around snapping pictures of life.  I am a lifestyle photographer.  I love catching the perfect "in the moment" action shot of my clients, and in my travels, my photography really isn't any different.  I do have to throw in the occasional lighthouse picture though, I just love them!

Here are the links to the complete posts on our family blog, if you want to read more about the trip!!

Bennett Family | Family Photographer Carlisle, PA

Recently I met up with this adorable family in Carlisle, at Dickinson University.  Check out their sneak peeks HERE, HERE, & HERE.  The campus was gorgeous and there was plenty of room for little Madison to run around!  I think her favorite thing about the square was the squirrels.  She chased and chased them all around, which gave me quite a workout, I might add!  Madison has quite possibly the cutest little girl curls ever!  I hope you enjoy seeing them bounce around in the pictures as much as I did watching her play! :)

I hope you enjoy these shots!  This was an awesome family to work with.  I am blessed to have befriended many of my new clients and this family is no exception!  :)  Enjoy.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Madison had just turned two, so we made sure to catch some cute shots of her playing, just like a two year old would!  I might add that I think I love playing with bubbles as much as this adorable, curly haired two year old!

Love these sweet Mommy & Me moments!

And this was too cute not to include!  At the end of our session we caught a couple shots of Corinne and Jim in the Adirondack chairs.  Seems simple right? Wrong.  Madison did NOT want to allow her Mommy and Daddy to hold hands!  Every time they held hands and we were ready to catch the shot, she would run in and throw their hands apart with all her might!  It was the most adorable thing ever!!  :)

Adorable.
