I am so excited about this holiday season!  With Christmas brings a brand new year, and what better time to brush up on your photography skills?  I am pleased to announce a new facet of Bella Vita Photography that will begin in January 2012!  Workshops!!  Hooray!!!  Workshops are a great combination of my two favorite activities:  Photography and Teaching!  What is better than teaching the art of photography to others?! :)

Here are the latest details on my January 2012 "Kick the Auto Setting" Workshop!

This is a great workshop to use as a refresher or as an intro to manual photography, and if you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift, look no further- this workshop is just perfect for the photographer in your family!

Date: January 14, 2012
Time: TBD (based of workshop membership)
Where:  Harrisburg, PA (multiple locations to be used, weather permitting)
How Long: 2 hours
Price: $95(includes tax)
$25 reserves your slot in the workshop- payable by either cash or check.

Description:  Have you ever wanted to know more about shooting photographs from the manual setting?  Do you know a little about manual settings, but want to learn more or brush up on your skills?  This workshop is designed to help introduce the manual function on your camera.  No previous photography experience is necessary.  We will be covering the basics of how to properly hold a camera, camera controls and functions, picture composition, and lighting. The workshop is completely customizable to each member's needs/wants.

What to bring:  Yourself, your camera (and any goodies that go along with it), the camera manual, a fun prop (or two) you want to use during practice, a smile, great ideas and an open mind!

Beki + Michael | Wedding Photographer Harrisburg, Pa

I am SO excited to be able to finally share this incredible story!!

First, I have to say, this couple is one of the most laid-back wedding couples I have ever met!

They have an incredible story that is worth sharing with you (please keep reading!).  First, Beki contacted me about 2 weeks before the wedding and through several email correspondences we nailed down last minute wedding coverage.  No big deal, right?

Now comes the crazy part (I know, you are always wondering why we only had a two week window!): Beki and Michael were scheduled to get married in the Outer Banks!  Hurricane Irene put a bit of a damper on the original plan.  Irene made landfall in the Outer Banks a few weeks before the wedding and the islands were not letting outside visitors onto the island until well after the wedding date.  Crazy, huh?!

Crazier part:  Beki and Michael are planning a wedding here, in central Pennsylvania in two weeks!!

Do you think that deterred them from having the wedding of their lives?  Heck no!  This couple was so laid-back, they had faith it would all come together, and in Beki's words," even if it doesn't, I am marrying my best friend.  That is all that matters."  Well, I am very happy to say it all came together perfectly for this awesome couple!
